The Wren and Cuff Elephant Skin is a bass fuzz effects pedal designed in collaboration with Troy Sanders of Mastodon. Based on the Tall Font Russian circuit, this stompbox incorporates a footswitch-activated extra gain stage, allowing users to access both classic and higher-gain fuzz tones. The additional gain stage can function as a gritty clean boost or combine with the fuzz circuit to deliver increased saturation, with an XT volume control to adjust the added gain level. Features include an overdriven, compressed low end and rich upper harmonics, with a muff-scooped midrange that is less pronounced than other generations.
