The Hungry Robot Pedals El Castillo is an arpeggiating reverb effects pedal designed for experimental soundscapes. It combines reverb, pitch-shifting, and delay within its signal path to generate pitch-bent reverb textures and layered, ambient effects. The reverb section provides both level and regeneration (Regen) controls, utilizing a high-quality reverb brick. Pitch-shifting occurs in the feedback loop, causing the pitch of the wet signal to incrementally shift with each repeat for pronounced stair-step modulation. A single-repeat delay (0–800ms range) is also present in the feedback path, controlling the timing and stretch of each pitch shift to create either rapid steps or gradual arpeggiation.
