The EarthQuaker Devices Data Corrupter Special Edition is a three-voice monophonic harmonizing PLL (phase-locked loop) fuzz effects pedal designed to generate complex analog synth tones. The pedal processes the input signal into a square wave fuzz tone and applies multiplication, division, and modulation to create harmonies at selectable intervals, ranging up to three octaves above or below the original note. Core controls include a Subharmonic Root switch for accessing oscillator functions and a Frequency Modulator for additional manipulation of upper and lower harmonics. The Data Corrupter is equipped with true bypass switching and is compatible with a range of instrument signals.
